Moreover, it features numerous new functions: Implemented in the IC are new features from the recently adopted AS-Interface specification 3.0, such as a 4I/4O mode and a synchronous data IO mode. For the first time, extensive configuration and filtering can be carried out, which is saved on the integrated circuit’s internal EEPROM. Further highlights include the isolated transmitter, which allows high module symmetries in electrically intensive applications through component economisation, an integrated electronic inductor with a maximum power of 55mA, as well as an integrated safety mode for use with safety related applications.
