The "Basic" safety monitor and its expanded version are the core elements of ASIsafe. They monitor data transferred via AS-Interface (master call, response from the safe slave). The safety monitor brings the system into a safe condition if the safety circuit is interrupted or safety-related sensors are faulted. It therefore acts as a bus-based safety relay. The standard infrastructure of the AS-i network can continue to be used without restrictions.
The PC-based ASIMON software is used to configure the safety monitor. The response to various input signals can be defined via its graphic user interface.
Special Features:
- Monitors safe nodes and connects safe inputs
- Ensures safe shutdown via 1 or 2 two-channel enabling circuits
- Optional: Integral on and off delay, pulse function, extended RAM (expanded safety monitor)
- Optional: Controlling of a distributed safe output or safe coupling of two AS-i networks (device version 3)
- Approved in safety circuits up to PL e/ Cat. 4 (DIN EN ISO 13849-1) or SIL3 (IEC 61508) and stop category 0 or stop category 1
- Removable finger-safe and non-reversible terminal blocks for fast exchange
